The oil pump is leaking on my car. I have it pulled and I Was reading in my manual that it says to pack the oil pump with petroleum jelly for proper priming. My question is, Is there a o-ring on the back cover so that I can pack the oil pump with the petroleum jelly? I can't find any parts breakdown for the oil pump and finding parts for the car are difficult. I want it to be done correctly. I thought that it would self prime, so I want as much information so that I can get my car running again. Thankyou

so I don't have to remove the rear cover of the pump, just in the opening of the pump should be fine?
