Best way I can describe the sound is it is like driving over fresh snow. Kind of squeaky, kind of grinding only louder and there is no snow right now. I only hear it when I turn left and only under about thirty mph. I just got the van a week ago and started hearing the noise couple days back. I have an idea what it probably is but want other opinions before I take it back to the dealer.

Well the most likely cause would be a failing CV joint if iti s from the front end or possible brake issues if in the rear. Next would be a failing wheel bearing.

What does the sound do if you step on the brake lightly while it is happening?
How about if you weave back/forth while hearing it?
Do you hear the noise if you just rev the engine in neutral?
Could you shoot a video and load it on this site?

That could do it. Glad you found the problem. Is that what you thought the problem was?

I actually thought it was the cv joint as well. My grandpa's mechanic (gpa owns a shop) rode with me for 5 minutes and knew what it was luckily. Thank you for tryin to help me though!

That is why I asked about a video and the questions about weaving and such. Being able to hear the noise is better than trying to ID from words. But that is handily trumped by actually driving it.
Still glad you got it sorted. Come back anytime with automotive questions and thank you for using 2CarPros. Com.
