Master cylinder switch replaced. Steering wheel buttons replaced. All fuses in engine compartment have power both sides. Also fuses inside cab left side dash all powered. No cruise control lights or diagnostic flashes at all on instrument cluster. System dead. Now, this old truck had a big problem. The 4 wheel drive started flashing on and off and then stopped working completely. Three months later the truck shut off because the fuel pump stopped working. After lots of diagnosis {checked all fuel system components} I found broken wires from the cab to the rear along the drivers side frame rail. I repaired 3 broken wires and to my surprise the fuel pump came on. The 4 wheel drive and lots of other stuff started working and I am wondering if maybe another wire in the harness may be broken inside the jacket might be broken, would a wire broken aft of the shut down the whole system? What do you think? Thanks, Danny V.

Wires broken at the frame rail should have no effect on the cruise control. I have attached the pinpoint tests along with a diagram that I illustrated which are pretty straight forward. Let us know if you have any other questions.
