Hi all, I have no compression anywhere on this thing, its cranking over like the chains are broken (2) DOHC. I pulled off a cover and the chains are intact, but the are loose, I can move them they have a bit of slack, but why have I lost compression everywhere? (Inference motor?) And why do I keep getting stuck with these timing jobs? The book calls for 9-12 hours for these chains. Thanks, Al

If you have enough slack in the chain the timing can jump bend valves etc. And loose compression. Have you checked the actual compression yet? It sounds like from what you have described the chain could have jumped.

Yes I have done a compression test, the meter did not move but 1 or 2 psi. The motor spins so fast. Will one chain jumping cause the other cam chain to do the same? I am sure valves are bent. I am afraid to take off a head.

If lost compression on both banks then they both jumped that does happen one or both can jump.

Do you know if this is an inference engine?
