Fuel pump went out in the process of change it out broke the plastic housing. I replaced with sending unit out of a 1999 Maxima, but it has two plug outlet with six wires and the original has one plug and five wires. The first plug in is for the fuel pump two wires, that leaves me three wires to go. In the second plug that has four wires I wired it fuel gauge, worked, but car still would not start. Then I noticed the security light was not turning on, so I disconnected the three wires going to the four wire plug that let the security light to flash as normal. When turn off the key but car still will not start.

Its like the fuel pressure is way to high. I might say the wrong pump is causing the issue? Lets do a fuel pressure test to see where you are at. 34 pounds is the spec.

Please run down this guide and report back
