It stopped running one day so I had the fuel pump, crank shaft positioning sensor, battery, and spark plugs all replaced. Now it cranks but won't start. Fuel pump kicks on. Battery was at 11.4 12.3 when on jumper pack, still wouldn't start. Wondering if it's possible there is air in the fuel line or maybe the filter is bad as well?

Hi,

If you have a crank with no start condition, usually it is either the loss of fuel or ignition spark to the plugs.

Do this. See if it starts for a couple of seconds and then stalls if you use starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, we know it's a fuel-related issue. If there is no charge, then I need you to check for spark to the plugs. Here is a link that explains how to check:

Try this and let me know the results.

Take care,

Joe

Note: I realize you hear the fuel pump, but it still could not produce enough pressure.

So, after I asked the question, I went out and I first checked the fuel line up by the injectors. I printed the pump turns the key to off and opened the line fuel came out steady and strong, so I know it's getting fuel. Then I checked my voltage on my battery. It ready 11.2 it's a month old but it hasn't run on the new battery at all. Was thinking alternator possibly? But I am going to check spark first thing today when alive at the guy's house. Be about 11:30 or so. The spark plugs are on of the things the guy put in, so I figure l check for spark and check the gaps are set right. I'll report back when I'm done, and I guess I will take my questions on from there lol. Thank you for your help.

Hi,

Let me know what you find. Please keep in mind, if the fuel pressure is weak, it can be causing issues. If you try the starting fluid technique, that will tell us right away if it is a fuel or ignition-related issue. Keep in mind, the fuel pressure can be good and not be injected into the engine. So, the test will be really helpful.

Take care and I'll watch for your reply.

Joe
