Okay, this is the second time she has run the car out of gas. So, I put some gas in the car and drove it to the gas station and put $20.00 of gas started it up and went down the road about 200 yards and it started cutting back and cut off and will not start back. I checked fuses all good, checked fuel rail, and have no pressure on the check valve. Where should I go from there?

The fuel pump does not like running dry, FYI. I would say the fuel pump has gone out, but to be sure can you hear the fuel pump kick for about 5 seconds when you turn the key on and not crank the engine over? If not, I would check the fuses and run the codes, you may have a fuel pump control module that is out.

If the fuses are good and there are no codes here is how to change the fuel pump assembly out. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.
