Hi there!

I have had the problem of my vehicle listed above 28i xdrive e84 not starting for over 2 months now. I have checked all the fuses I xan find, replaced the distribution block, and the battery. Registered the battery with the Autophix 7910 I purchased to scan the car. This all started after jumping my husband's f350 when it was about -15° F just b4 Christmas. At first it was starting and shutting off immediately then not starting at all. I have no a drained my brand-new battery twice trying periodically to start the car and run the scanner. My next guess is to purchase a $35.00 obdII (k+can) cable and figure out how to do the coding since the new battery is about 200 cold crank amps more than the one replaced. I'm open to absolutely any ideas to try shy of paying the rest of my yearly income to BMW to have it towed 40 miles away on a flatbed to a BMW specialty shop! Any insight would be much appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

The first thing we need to do is see if the problem is fuel or spark related, I would try starting fluid to see if the engine will run, then we know it is fuel related. Next let's check to see if the ignition system is working by following this guide and video:

and

Also please go over this engine no start guide as well, also can I ask if you hear the fuel pump in the tank run for about 5 seconds if you turn the system on without cranking the engine over? Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
