2. Caution: This pulse wheel is used in several different engines. Install the pulse wheel with the keyway in the slot stamped "30RFF" (orange in color). This is the actual warning from the repair manual procedure.

The pulse wheel alone being off won't damage an engine, only if the mechanical timing is off.

Do I have to move the crank/key to a certain position if the pulse wheel is installed wrong or will I just be able to remove the pulse wheel and install it the right way without moving crank/key?

You should be able to move the wheel without removing the key.

Zephyr starts up fine off a cold start. Car runs good while driving but after the car warms up it dies at idle sometimws. Also have to jump start the car to get it back running. After it starts up it runs fine for another 10 min then does it again.
What could cause this? Also no trouble codes either.

Test your charging system and make sure that there were no grounds or other connectors forgotten about during re-assembly. Also make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight.
