Hi,

A crank no start is usually the result of either no fuel to the engine or ignition spark. Have you checked for both?

If you haven't seen if the engine will start if you use starting fluid. If it starts and then stalls, we know it is a fuel related issue. If there is no change, I need you to confirm there is spark to the plugs.

Here is a link that shows how to check:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-for-ignition-spark

Try this and let me know the results. Also, I need you to count 8 digits from left to right on the VIN number and let me know if it is an S, U, or the number 2. That way I know exactly which V6 you have.

Take care,

joe

It's a 2. It has spark and does not start with starter fluid.

Hi,

If it has spark and starting fluid makes no difference, we have a different issue than spark and fuel.

If possible, record it cranking and upload it for me to hear. Either we have low compression or the timing is off.

Since the timing chain shouldn't have been touched for the work you have done, that leaves compression. If you could upload a video of it cranking so I can hear it, I should be able to tell if it is a compression-related issue. Or, here is a link that explains how to check compression.

You will need a compression gauge. If you don't own one, often times a parts store will lend one to you.

Let me know and thanks for the VIN number information. It took me to the correct engine.
