I am getting a code for my crank and cam position sensors. However, I can't locate either one. There isn't a video or any directions online on how to locate them for a 4.0 v6 engine. Everything I find is for a v8. Any guidance would be useful.

Hi,

The 4.0L wasn't as popular as the V8. Chances are that is why you can't find the information.

I don't have a video, but if you look below, I attached pics of the locations and the directions for replacing them. Keep in mind, there are two camshaft position sensors, bank 1 and bank 2. Also, they are a bit of a pain to replace.

If this engine still has the original timing chain, there is a chance it is stretched enough to cause a correlation issue between the cam and crank sensors, so keep that in mind.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
