Turns over but will not stay running. I was wondering if you ever figured out why? Others have asked same question, but there are no answers to this problem posted. Do you have the magical answer?

Good morning.

Each vehicle issue is different. There is no one answer that covers all vehicles.

You need three thing for the engine to run, spark, fuel pressure and compression.

Can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn on the key? It will run for only two seconds until the engine cranks, then it will turn on full time. Then you need to check the fuel pressure as well. You can rent a tester at a parts store to verify the pressure.

Spark. You can check for spark by removing one the wires to the plugs at the coil. Then crank the engine and look for spark going down the side of the coil. Spark issues are common. The failures are the ignition module and crank sensor.

Compression. You need to remove a spark plug and insert a compression tester. You can rent one at a parts store. You need around 140-150 lbs for the engine to work. This will also tell if you have a bad timing chain.

You have a lot of people asking about the same problem, but you have not addressed what solves these issues, they all have the same thing wrong and people have done all the things you suggest with no solution.

The solutions are found after the diagnostics are performed. I gave you items that could cause it and what you need to do to find your failure. I am here and not there to test it myself. I have repaired many dozens of these issues and have had many different solutions and they are all based on diagnostics, not guesses from afar.

You need to start somewhere and that will be with checking for what I suggested.

I want to help but need the information from you to help me resolve your issue.
