This might be a dumb question, but i'm just not sure. My radiator has two fans. I know one is for cooling and the other is for the A/C. But should both fans turn on when I shut my car off? Only the small one turns on. It just doesn't seem like that little fan is going cool the whole radiator. Both fans will cycle if idled long enough.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Nope, not a dumb question. Basically, Whenever you turn on the A/C the (small-secondary) fan will continuously run to pull air flow through the radiator/condenser assembly for airflow to cool your car(radiator) and the A/C condenser for the A/C function. The Primary fan will operate when a high temperature condition is detected in conjunction with the secondary or high heat weather conditions, Engine overheating, etc. Yes, Both fans can and will possibly run together or independent. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
