Coolant pushing out of the surge tank - engine overheating

I had coolant pushing out of the surge tank so I thought maybe just need a new pressure cap replaced that with an OEM one from GM and the problem didn’t go away. Only now I noticed that the upper radiator hose was still hard the next morning after the truck had cooled overnight. So I went ahead and pulled the heads had them machined and tested got new grade C gaskets and ARP head studs finished the job and I’ve got the same issues literally right after finishing the job got it started let it warm up test drove it and lost the coolant again. Truck doesn’t get hot got to about 203 then cooled down to 175. I’m wondering if there is anything else that could cause pressure excessive pressure in the coolant system before I have to do another head gasket job?

Hello,

When you had the head off did you see where the head gasket failed? It could be a cracked block causing the issue. Lets do a chemical check. here is a guide to help walk you through the steps:
