October of last year I replace the radiator and water pump. Now it looks like there is coolant leaking from the side of the radiator. I can't really tell where it's coming from. I've added about a half a gallon in the last week so it's not a really bad leak but it's a little. Should I get a new radiator or just pour the aluminum sealant in?

Hi,

We need to determine if it is the radiator, a faulty hose, or even a simple clamp. Also, aluminum sealants can cause restrictions in other areas. I never use it.

Do me a favor. Take a look through this link and let me know if it helps you confirm the location of the leak:

If you are unable to locate the leak, the system will need pressure tested. You will need a pressure tester, but most parts stores will lend one to you.

I'm recommending this because the radiator isn't an inexpensive repair. If it is the radiator and you installed it only a year ago, see if there is any warranty on it as well.

Let me know what I can do to help.

Take care,

Joe
