Hi,

When the engine is turned off, coolant stops circulating and increases in temperature until the engine begins to cool.

Does this only happen when the engine is warm and turned off? Does the temperature gauge indicate any problems while it is running? Do you have coolant in the system or water?

Let me know where you see the leak. If you are not sure where it is coming from, here is a link you may find helpful:

Let me know.

Yes, it’s only when it warm and I turn off the engine. No, the temperature gauge stays in the middle or below the middle while driving with no signs of overheating. Idk if there is coolant in the radiator (I don’t know where to find radiator cap) but I do have water/coolant in the reservoir.

Hi,

The radiator itself won't have a cap. Everything is done via the reservoir. Here is my concern. If the temperature gauge isn't indicating a problem but coolant is coming out of the reservoir, we may be getting compressed air into the cooling system. This is usually the result of a faulty head gasket.

If you are concerned that the coolant is low, see if the heater works. If it does, that isn't the issue.

I need to know what engine is in this vehicle. There are three options. They came with either a 3.5L, a 3.6L, or a 2.4L. Let me know that. Also, when the engine is running and not losing coolant, take notice if there are air bubbles in the coolant.

Take a look through this link and let me know if you are comfortable performing any of the inspections/tests:

Also, take a look at this link as well:

Let me know.
