Coolant in engine oil

Driving down highway car not overheating but hose located on drivers side attached to back of motor pops off resulting in car turn off and a lot of coolant in oil. No visible leaks before or after.

I am not sure I understand the progression of events. The hose came off and all the coolant drained out of the engine and then the engine got hot and shut off? Now you found coolant in the oil?

If this is the case, I suspect the engine did get to hot and warped the head. Which means we need to drain the oil and refill it with oil and refill the coolant. Then test the head gasket. Here is a guide on how to do that:
