Code 24, Intake air temperature fault?

What does that mean? Is it a sensor malfunction and can I fix it myself with marginal car skills? This was my mom's first and only new car and since she passed it is mine now and I will keep her going and restore her.

Yep, let's fix it up, this is an easy repair. Here is the sensor location so you can change it out. Sorry to hear about your mom. Make sure the sensor is plugged in before replacement. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

That's where I thought it was, thank you. I have to order a new one and just hope it works or it seems I will need a new ECM. I was told if that were the case it would need special programming before installation. Is that true? I think it is behind the dash, so I don't think I'll try that myself.
