Car not accelerating properly and clicking/ticking from front end

car not accelerating normally. ticking noise front end, noise goes away when foot off the gas.

The thing that makes the most sense would be a CV axle.

However, the fact that it stops when you let off the accelerator points to a drive line issue. I would suggest lifting the vehicle and putting the drive wheels on jack stands and then letting them spin in gear and seeing if you can find the clicking noise while laying underneath.
