Hello ladies and gents. Today we gathered to go off road with a bunch of buds. A few hours in after testing my cars limits (mud pits and all) I started smelling some wretched odor. (Has happened once before previous off road trip) so I got the car pulled out and noticed the car would no longer require the clutch to fall into gear. After driving it towards the exit we pulled over at a picnic area to eat. After restarting our journey to leave the car would no longer grab gears and I was able to shift on between first, second and third freely (car is a three speed) I checked to make sure car was not stuck on neutral even tried 4h 4l 2h. Tried with and without wheels locked as well. I believe my clutch finally went bad, but was just curious if anyone else has had this problem occur and have they found a solution?

cheers! And thank you

Sounds as if you have cooked the clutch. Time to pull the box and replace it. Get the flywheel surfaced and also fit a new pilot bearing in the back of the crankshaft.
