2000 Chrysler Sebring Two Wheel Drive Automatic 110.90 miles

i had a chrysler sebring 2000 My car has been shutting off while driving. Sometimes it will start right back up but sometimes it will leave you sit for hours. It will after a while start right back up but cannot go for long distances without doing it again. Or, if I make it to my destination, it won't start back up and I have to sit and wait. There is not a check engine light on. This was a progressive problem that started with it occasionally feeling like it was going to shut off, leading to it shutting off at lights and intersections when not pressing the accelerator, to shutting off while driving. It is doing it more and more often and after shorter and shorter distances.

Sure sounds like an intermittent camshaft position sensor, but there should be a diagnostic fault code memorized which will turn on the Check Engine light. Also sounds like something a MAP sensor would do, but by 2000, they had very little trouble with them. That should also turn on the Check Engine light.
