I had to replace the water pump in my 1997 chrysler sebring Lxi, 2.5. And in order to do that I had to remove my timing belt, during the process my crankshaft got misalligned from the camshafts. My engine wont start.I understand I may have bent a rod and thats no big deal, but now I cant get my crankshaft and camshafts all lined back up. Is there some kind of trick or what, I have read the haynes manual but it only tells how to take apart inspect and put things back it doesnt explain how things should be set

The easiest way is to rotate your crank pulley until #1 piston at TDC on compression stroke. The notch on crank sprocket must align to the arrow on oil pump housing, and back 3 notches before TDC.

Camshaft sprockets must align to rear timing cover.
