Hi:
What your telling me doesn't make sense. Is the starter cranking the engine but the engine isn't starting, or do you hear the starter making noise and the engine isn't cranking to even try to start.
If the engine is turning over and not starting, we need to check for two things, spark and fuel. If you have a good spark plug laying around from anything like a lawn mower, all you need to do is remove a spark plug wire from the car's engine and place the spare plug in the plug wire. Ground the steel part of the spare plug agains't the engine or anything steel to get a ground. Have a helper crank the motor while you watch the bottom of the spark plug for spark. If the ignition is working, you will see a spark at the bottom of the plug.
If you have spark, replace the plug wire back on the engine's spark plug you removed it from.
Next, you will need to check for fuel pressure. This will require a special tool. Some parts stores lend such tools out. However, you may need help doing this. The tool should come with diresctions on how to check fuel pressure. If there is no fuel, you will need a mechanic to check the fuel pump and the relay.
Let me know if this helps, and if you have any other questions.
