I recently had work done on my tension pulley and timing belt. My check engine light keeps going on after I start my car more than 3 times a dat and my car will occasionally stall when stopped. I went under the hood today and noticed my air condition belt was sitting not connected next to my engine. Would that have anything to do with my timing being off and be the cause of my car stalling?

Hi:
The AC belt won't affect the timing belt. However, if the check engine light is coming on, there is a code set in the computer that will identify the problem.

Take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. The codes will identify where the problem is coming from.

Let me know what you find. Also, you should repair the AC belt problem.
