Hi I have a 1996 chrysler concorde LXI. It has 194 thousand miles but it drives, and everything works fine except the radio. I have a stock cassete radio. The problem is that it turns on, and you can check the radio stations, but it doesn't play music. It has the antenna, and all the wires are connected, but it just wont play any music, except the AM stations?

Some models have a very high failure rate of the FM tuner. On the Mitsubishi-built cd / cassette combos, these can be repaired, but the cassette-only radios were mostly built by Chrysler, and the tuner is sealed. I have upgraded replacements, but they are expensive. You would only want me to install one for you if you are "emotionally involved" with your radio. In other words, if you want to keep your original radio.

I also have some new-in-the-box radios like yours, but they are likely to develop the same problem in the future. If you haven't gotten yours fixed yet, this might be a dandy time to upgrade to a cd / cassette radio. Those Mitsubishi-built radios are very high quality.
