1992 Chrysler 5th Avenue digital fuel gauge alwayes reads f

My digital fuel gauge is always pegged on full. All other gauges work fine. Is there a way to fix this. , I was told it was a ground problem. Where would the ground be located, if that is the problem. Thank you very much.

Hi:

Yes it could be a ground problem or a short. However, chrysler fuel pumps and float level are one unit which are known to go bad. I would start looking for shorts or ground problems near the fuel tank. If you have no luck, a new fuel pump / float may be your only answer.
