I replaced my fuel pump in my vehicle it still will not turn over. It is acting like it isn't getting fuel. It tries to turn over but can't. Then when I shut my key off I hear like a clicking noise coming from up by on top of my motor. I have tried to change the pressure sensor and reset the computer by disconnecting the battery. Yesterday when it happened I could get it to start for 30 seconds then it shut off. Now when it tries to turn over after I shut the key off or just turn It into the on position and turn it back off I hear a clicking noise almost like it could ne a relay but I've changed the relay when I bought the truck.

Let's start with getting a recording of the noise that you are hearing and if you don't mind include the engine trying to start. Hearing what you are hearing will help us figure this out.

Second, let's spray some starter fluid in the intake and then crank the engine and see if it fires. If it starts with starter fluid then we can confirm a fuel issue.

Here is a video that runs through the basic things that will cause a no start:

Let me know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks

It does not start with starter fluid. The dealer ship is telling me it’s my computer since I can get it jump start with the wire and hear the fuel pump kick in. But as soon as I put the relay back in the clicking starts and I don’t hear my my fuel pump the relay is new the fuel pump is new.

That could be but can you explain what you mean by how you can get it started by jumping the wire to the fuel pump? Or are you saying that you are putting power to the fuel pump and it kicks on?

If I touch a wire to where my relay goes I can get the fuel pump to kick on and get pressure, but as soon as I put my relay back in all I hear is the clicking noise that is in the video and I get no fuel pressure.

Oh, okay. I know you said you changed the relay when you got the truck but how long ago was that? Has this issue been happening since you replaced it or was it replaced and this issue continued to happen? That clicking noise sounds like the relay is clicking. Normally that is caused by failed relay. The other possible causes are resistance in the power or ground wire, or the module has an issue on the circuit board.

Let's try swapping the relay unless you replaced it and still have this issue and then we can start checking wiring before you put a module in it.

Thanks
