2000 Chevy Truck Wont Start

When I go to start the truck at times it turns over great, acts like it wants so start but just turns over. The fuel pump is working when you turn the key. After you let it set a while, 10 - 20 minutes it will start. Is it something to do with the chip in the key or some sort of ant theft thing?

On my grand prix if I let the tilt streering all the way down before trying to start it started fine the solution was to change the key switch itself one of the wires on the switch had become worn from flexing with the wheel going up and down (it was a pass key issue(anti theft))
