My 1999 cavalier is going crazy. I have to jump it to start it and nothing has power. No radio, gauges, wipers, lights, clunky shifting, and hard idling. The check engine light is on if that helps. The fuses all look good. Any idea where to start?

Take the battery to your local parts store and have them test it. If it is bad, replace it. If it just needs charging, then charge it and then take the whole car down there to have the charging system checked out. You may have a bad altenator, or a bad connection to the battery or engine ground.
Good luck

also check the buss fuse under the hood. sounds like the main buss fuse from the battery leading to the inside has blown. it should be between 40 60 amp fuse.
