1995 Chevy Truck engine dies when placed in gear

My engine starts up normal. But when I place it into gear the engine dies. Every time.

It sounds like it's time for a tuneup, when is the last time you replace the distributor cap distributor rotor spark plugs and possibly the wires? You may also have a weak coil check that to
