1989 Chevy Truck Won't run very long!

1989 Chevy Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Me and my dad got this truck a few weeks ago. Anyway, we've done nothing to the truck since we got it, and now when we start the truck it will run fine for about 10 minutes, then completely shut off. My dad thinks it might be the ECU because he tried to pull the codes from it and it wouldn't read anything. Any help would be great because we're not used to problems like this!

When the the vehicle shuts down, will it start up again? Does it still have spark? And fuel? Check your wiring harness in the engine compartment inspected. Make sure no wires have melted on the engine.
