1969 Chevy Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

My 69 Chevy truck used to run then one day stopped. I think it's the starter but? I turn the key and it wants to start but when I let the key go it shuts off. I've taken the starter off and had it checked along with the cylinoid and they both work and then I changed out the ignition switch and nothing. It has a electronic ignition and I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place! What next?

Power the coil from the battery positive terminal if it works, you have an open circuit from the coil positive to the ignition switch. Did you use the same wire for the coil when you converted over to electronic-if so the resistance wire is open.
