Engine Performance problem
1965 Chevy Truck 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

truck will run fine ,then shutsdown after 10 minutes, already replaced fuelpump,coil ,flushed gas tank out,cleaned sending unit,took carb off and cleaned,new lines and filters,still wants to shut itself off???????

Is this a contact point distributor or an HEI ignition ??

When it stalls, does it restart immediately? If not, have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the plugs. You can keep a know good spark plug or spark tester in the glove-box, won't get hot. Then you just pull a plug wire, use tester. If you have spark everywhere, I'd have to check fuel. With a rockchester carb, I can pull the airhorn off without removing the carb, check for gas in the float bowl. A clogged exhaust could cause problems, is there a butterfly valve on the exhaust?
