I have a 2002 Chevy Tahoe Z71, 5.3 litre, 120k miles. Less than two years ago (80k miles) I replaced the factory battery with an Exide battery from NTB. About six months after installing the Exide battery my car wouldn't start. I took it to NTB - they said my battery had leaked and replaced it under the warranty. Subsequently the acid burned into my wiper fluid reservoir and put me at $300+ in repairs to reservoir and pump. We sent the battery to Exide with the repair receipt. After nine months they refunded my damages. Last month same thing happened. NTB gave me a replacement battery which FAILED and leaked again this weekend. Of course I don't want another Exide but that's all that NTB offers so I went to Sears and bought a DieHard, however still need to get washer fluid repairs made again. What are the odds three batteries would leak? Is there a history with Exide batteries leaking, especially in SUVs?
