99 tahoe, 180000 miles with new engine at 150000, new transmission, new water pump, new brakes, newly inspected. I don't know my engine size.

I am out of town and just noticed today a rattling noise, seeming to come from the rear. Only can be heard while going slow. Then when turning left a grinding or rubbbing sound occurs. As I tested the noise around the campground. The rattling seems to be more grinding and still hearing a more pronounced grinding while turning left but not right. I pull a 17ft vintage Airstream travel trailer. Is it safe to drive for the next few days. Over the week-end. Until I get to a dealership? Other than the noise. The car is driving and handling normally. Am traveling by myself this trip and not dealing with my car troubles very well.
Thank you in advance and I need reassurrance ASAP!

Chk diff fluid. Don't have all data withme. Cuz I am at home not in the shop. So I can't tell u the spec and how. Try look up a repair procedure instruction on this website. Noise during turn maybe cuz by ur rearend.U didn't mention if it is positrac. If it is then it could very well explain why noises occurs during turns. If jusst goin thru straight line driving. Ur truck appear to act normal.U should be okay till u get to a mechanic. Chevy trucks are pretty straight forward. Any mechanic should be able to handle it. Just a tip for choosing mechanic repair. ASA, BBB member are prefer. ASE certify mechanic is a MUST!
