I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe. I noticed the passenger rear shock in leaking. Over the past 6 months I have also noticed when I first turn the key on (before starting) there is a constant "gurgling" sound that appears to be over right rear passenger wheel well. It almost seems to be in the wheel well. When I drive for awhile the gurgling sometimes stops but always seems to come back. What could this be and what do you recommend for the leak in the rear shock? Thanks for your help and advice.

The only thing I can think of that would make a "gurgling" noise at the rear of the vehicle with the key on would be the electric fuel pump in the fuel tank. Or, maybe the fuel return to the tank. Without actually hearing it, I'm only guessing. To prove this theory, see if the noise is present when the fuel tank is low and not when full.
On the leaking shock, there is realy no repair. The only solution is replacement and they should be replaced in pairs. Hope this helps.
