My 99 tahoe used to start on the first click, now sometimes I have to try two or three times to get it started. Hot or cold it doesnt matter. Sometimes it starts right off and sometimes it doesnt. I have changed the fuel filter, replaced the fuel pressure regulator, (not fun). And the fuel pump module. I dont know what else to check. Because the problem seams to occur when the car is off, No codes or check engine light. What do you think?

First I would check fuel pressure when you get the extended crank. There are so many problems with these fuel pumps, thats where I look first. I find in most cases the connector on the fuel pump is melted on the gray wire or the black wire due to high resistance. There is a amp draw test you can do on the fuel pump test lead if you have a multimeter with a 10 amp dc test port on the meter. These pumps should be pulling 10 amps if its good when I find they have less than ten amps there is a problem in pump or wiring causing the problem
