I have changed the fuel pump, spark plugs, mass air flow, fuel filter. Tested the fuel pressure and it is good. Also, tested spark. It was a bit weak, but sparking. Any suggestions why it would start up then then stall immediately?

My first thought was the theft system? Is the theft/security light on or flashing, anything? If not I would replace the crankshaft angle sensor which sound like it is having a problem. This guide will help you step by step.

I checked for codes, but none popped. The security light would flash as I start it, but then disappears arfter it starts, then dies. Also, the igition is still on the "on" position with no security light. Im not sure if the security light should keep flashing. Flustered.

If it was the security system, the light should have stayed on or flashing, plus codes. Does it die without putting it in gear? Without something to point us in some direction?? When the engine stalls do you hear the fuel pump in the tank running?

This guide will help as well

Yes.I just came back from iraq and it wont start. But yes, I would start it, run for a few seconds then die with no time to get it in drive. As for the fuel pressure, when I crank it, pressure builds to. I want to say 65 and it holds. My neighbor helped me change out the crankshaft sensor and the problem is fixed! Thanks for helping me I love this site.

Shut off while I was driving and now it will not start. I checked the fuel pump and my fuel filter and my spark plugs are getting a spark. I have not hooked it up to a computer because I had it towed to my home. What should I look at next for the it ran for a second then cut back off?

Hello, I am Danny.

Have you tested the fuel pressure? I have attached a link on how to steps. If you do not have one most auto part stores (Pep Boys, O'Reilly's, Autozone) have a free tool loaner program. Your car should have 60-66 P.S.I. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any other questions if needed. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

I have not checked it. I will as soon as I figure out why my 2005 Maxima suddenly turned off. I swear if it is not one thing it is another. I checked the Maxima and it is giving me codes related to throttle body but I just replaced it for new throttle body. Ugh

P0726 p1726 u1000 this are the codes it has right now. Last week it had a cylinder one misfire so I replaced the spark plug in that cylinder because it would loose power while at the stop light. Felt like it wanted to turn off. But did not. After I replaced the spark plug code was gone and did not come back. Felt good up until two days ago after driving it long periods it began doing it again but felt slighting different and longer time. And today while it was on, but still was on park. It suddenly turned off now it will not start.

Hello again.

The u1000 code is the ECM not being able to communicate with any other systems. The P0726 code is Engine Speed Input Circuit Performance. The P1726 code is Electric Throttle Control System. I will do some research and get back to you on those.

My 1999 Thaoe will just stall then eventually die. I can drive the truck for about 10 to 15 minutes then it will just cut off on me. Before it cuts off it will begin to stall then it will just die. I can statr it again then it will do the same thing after traveling about 5-10 yards. I just got the spak plugs changed and I got a new water pump this past weekend because it was leaking antifreeze. I do not have a lot of money and I am a single mother on the verge of being fired from work. What could my problem be!
