Changed both upstream o2 sensors. Bank one sensor fluctuates much lower milivolts than Bank two sensor. Seems to run to good to have vacum leak.

Thanks, is it possible bank one is running leaner than bank two due to low fuel pressure? Bank one sensor fluctuates from 0 to about 700 on scan tool, bank two fluctuates from about 300 to 800. Both upstream sensors new. Thanks for your reply.

Don't worry about the fluctuation until the 171 and 174 is fixed low fuel pressure causes these kind of codes cause the engine is getting fuel right.

It indicates a lean condition on bank one and bank two.

Could be O2 sensors, or low fuel pressure, clogged injector.

I would start by using a can of SeaFoam in tank, reset codes and see if it helps problem.

May take a couple of tanks to get results.

If it doesn't help, then get fuel pressure measured with mechancal gauge, if OK, then O2 sensors would be next.

If you have original O2 sensors at 254K, they are probably the likely cause.

There are only a coupe of checks for this that you can do. If this is a big block ( 8.1L ) then make sure your intake manifold bolts are tight, because these codes indicate a lean condition. Check or soft hoses or cracks. If you find it then reset the cmputer. Otherwise it needs to be scanned with a scanner and needs a freeze frame done on it.

Well even if they did and this is a big block check the intake manifold bolts because if htis has the small 8 mm heads thesetend to loosen up on that engine. But also check for vacuum leaks. Hoses can break or come disconnected. Besides you have never said whatsize motor this is.

I also had codes p0171 and p0174 so I looked at the intake gaskets and replaced them, also a few vacuum line elbows that I found cracked that went from the fuel pressure regulator to the air intake. And those codes have not come back.

102 is a mass air flow code. The 400 series are evap codes.

How does it run?

Are all connections good at the mass air flow? Is the big hose to the air filter tight and secure?

With the MAF connected it would start fine then about 10 to 15 seconds the RPM's would decrease and it sounded like it was ready to stall but really just run rough. The air filter intake hose is secure the connection look good, i've got good PWR in 14VDC and a solid ground, from the signal side with the truck running I get about 5.04VDC. I didn't get the 400 series codes until I changed the MAF. When I disconnect the MAF it runs perfect with no issues.
