Up until a week ago, I could tap the key and the truck would start. Now it needs to crank a few seconds before starting. When the engine does start, it stuggles for 5 -10 seconds to stay running before it settles down to a normal idle. When I turn the key, each time I can hear the fuel pump engage and it runs for a couple seconds and then stops. Sometimes I also here a rattling noise like it rattling from underneath the car and the rattle moved up to the firewall area. This happens when the fuel pump is running.

The rattleing could be loose fuel line brackets. Check the fuel pressure. It should be between 58 and 66 psi. If it is below this change the fuel filter and check the fuel pump. The fuel pump shutting off is normal.
