Check the white wire going from the brake light switch to the directional switch. If it has power when brakes are applied then the turn signal swit ch is bad. If no power to white wire you need to check for power at the orange wire at the brake light switch. I have been seeing alot of turn signal switches cause no brake lights on this truck. The brake light circuit goes through the turn signal switch then to brake lights

I have no brake lights. I replaced the multi-function switch and the brake light switch. All fuses are good in the truck. What is the problem?

Hello, does the high-mount brake lite work? Did you check the wiring circuit to the brake switch? Orange wire is hot going to the brake switch. When the switch is activated, the white wire goes hot. The highmount brake lite isn't wired through the turn switch, but, the lower brake lites are. Anytime you check a fuse, you also have to check for voltage at the fuse.

Stop lps fuse had battery voltage on only one side. Checked fuse and it was blown! Replaced fuse and now have brake lights but no third brake light or readout on the trailer brake controller.

Make sure your trailer wiring matches your truck that could be blowing the fuses.

I have been towing this trailer for several years with no problem, until now.

I will check and see if something may have shorted a wire.

Thanks again and have a great day! Mikel

I just had the rear main seal replaced and it returned with the brake lights not working. The shop says it's nothing they did? I first checked the bulbs. They are good. But there is no power to them. Izin check the fuses and they are good. I've been replaced the brake pedal switch. And still no brake lights checked and I have going to the brake pedal switch and from the brake pedal switch when it is depressed. I see no breaks in the wire and I'm not sure where to go from here?I wonder if the shop in replacing that their main seal, where they have to remove the transmission, if a smashed a plug nothing in the process? But it appears to me that the brake wires don't run through the middle of the car where they were working it looks like they run up the side car under the passenger seat.

Are you sure you checked all fuses under the hood and inside the vehicle? Do you have any type of towing connector plugged in by the hitch?
