The headlights on my 1999 chevy suburban turn off when I try to turn them on. The daylight running lights work until I try to turn on the headlights too. I heard that the switch for the headlights has a fuse in it but I couldn't find any. Any help would be appriciated.

Hello, usually the headlamp switch has two circuits. There is a circuit breaker circuit, for the headlamps only. Then there is a fused circuit for the interior and exterior lites. There is no fuse in the headlamp switch itself and the breaker isn't replaceable, as far as I know. Check lighting fuse 8--50amp, underhood fuse box, fuse circuit should be hot all the time.
