my 99 suburban is on its 4th fuel pump it starts up and runs fine untill you go about 50 mph then it starts sputering and wont go over 20 miles an hour I had a fuel pressure test done on it and was fine at idol but under a load it had low fuel pressure so yesterday I put its 4th fuel pump in it and it fixed the problem for about a day and then it started sputering and loosing power again I have heard that I might have a bad ground on the fuel pump what does this sound like to you

I would check a couple of things, first the fuel pressure regulator. Remove the vacuum line to it and check for the presence of gas, if present then the FPR diaphram is ruptured and would need to be replaced.

Check the charging system voltage, if above 15V the pump will burn out.

If the ground was bad the pump would shut off, although it wouldn't hurt to check for proper grounding.
