2005 Chevy Silverado Oil pressure

I have been losing oil pressure. When I first start the truck and start driving the oil pressure is fine but after a while it goes down to 40 and below, sometimes to zero. When I'm going down the highway it makes a chirping sound then the oil pressure starts to drop.

Hi there,

Check the engine oil pressure with a master gauge first, as this will give you the true oil pressure reading, you may just have a faulty gauge. Start here first.
