2002 Chevy Silverado auto door locks

when i move my gear selector out of park, the automatic door locks do not work. i believe the problem has to do with the gear selector, because the P R N D 3 2 1 only highlight in P R 3 2 1. if so is there a fuse?

We are going to need a scan tool to see if the Body Control Module is recognizing 3 things. The identification of the control module(s) which command the system
The ability of the control module(s) to communicate through the serial data circuit
The identification of any stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and their status
