What clip are you attempting to replace? (Left side mirror or rearview mirror)

I am trying to repair my driver side power mirror. I wish to remove the cover in order to view and access the spring &holding ring. The holding ring holding the large spring slide up off the Swing-out post of the mirror main frame when I was attempting to move my mirror in to walk by.

Removal Procedure
Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

Notice: When servicing electrochromic glass that is broken, or if glass breaks during servicing, be cautious not to spill electrochromic fluid onto vehicle. Doing so will cause damage to the vehicle.

"Â Adjust mirror face as shown in picture to obtain access to mirror face retention clips (1).
"Â Position a flat-bladed tool between back side of mirror face and the adjuster mechanism as shown in picture.
"Â With a twisting motion of the flat bladed tool, separate the mirror face from the adjuster mechanism by releasing the mirror face retention clips (1).
"Â With mirror face in hand, disconnect the electrical connectors.
"Â Remove the mirror face from the mirror housing.
"Â Inspect the adjuster mechanism for damage.
Installation Procedure

"Â Inspect the components for any damage. Ensure that the mirror face has all the retention clips in place.
"Â Plug in the electrical connectors to the back of the mirror.
"Â Align the mirror face retention clips with the adjuster mechanism.

"Â Gently press the mirror back into the adjuster mechanism with the palm of the hand on the center of the glass until it locks into place.
"Â Inspect the operation of the mirror.

I fit is just the glass (non-heated mirror) then it should snap into the pivots in the housing. If it is the entire assembly, you will need to remove the inner door panel to access the nuts that hold it on, as well as the wiring
