usually it is the four-wheel drives switch on the dash that fail in this situation go to the junkyard and you can probably get another one for about $20.00 if it's not that the only other thing you can be is the actuator on the front axle you can remove the actuator and stick your finger in their and manually pull it out of 4 wheel Drive.
