On my 1500 can I switch out the rear and front axles into a 2500 axles without switching out the rest of the drive train?

We have a lot of information at our fingertips, but unfortunately, interchange isn't part of it. Going from memory, the only thing that might cause a problem is spline size on the outboard joint. You can tell if they are different by comparing the nut size that holds the axle spline into the rotor hub. If the nut in the 2500 is bigger than the one in your 1500, chances are they won't fit. Also, you can check with your local salvage yard. They will have the interchange info you need and will be able to tell you. Hope this helps.

As long as the ratio and the mounting are the same, go for it.
