Electrical problem
1998 Chevy Silverado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 137 K miles

I keep getting P0141 and P0161 codes randomly. The onle thing That will set it off is if I have just fueled up.

Could it be caused by a faulty gas cap??

NO, p0141= 02 sensor heater circuit bank one sensor two, p0161= same on bank two, these are the sensors after the converters. Chech the wiring, it may have been contaminated with oil, or rubbed insulation off somewhere.
