1997 Chevy Silverado reverse

I have a 1997 chevy silverado it has mark 3 on it too it stopped going in reverse all the other gears work fine it kind of hestitates to go in the first gear too. When it first started I kind of heard like a winding noise.

That is an internal failure in the transmission, I would have it taken care of before the trans case becomes damaged, then you will have to replace the entire thing instead of a rebuild
